This trend was hard to beat on the catwalk. Techno-red lips made appearances in several designer collections, including Jason Wu. The lip can easily be dressed up or dressed down with soft or bold eye makeup.

The perfect cat eye is out, morning-after smudginess is in. Use your eyeliner like an eyeshadow to create a downplayed smokey eye—draw on your usual line, then use your finger or flat brush to smudge.

It’s like bed head with a twist. Alexander Wang proved tangly beachy locks is the new model off-duty. Add a sea salt spray to make piecey hair strands, then add oil or paste for a textured finish.

- Glitz and Glamour
Vampy stains are getting a makeover. Naomi Campbell rocked the sparkly red lip at the MTV Video Music Awards this year, and now the trend has made its way to the runway. The trick is a clean face that lets the sparkly bold statement lip do the talking.
